Acquiring new software and hardware is pretty much an ongoing thing, and so is the continual sketching out of musical ideas and moods, exploring what these new instruments, effects and processing tools can offer. Sometimes these sketches develop into something that I will use in a project but most of the time not. They end up sitting on an ever growing collection of (thankfully, still functioning) hard drives.

Around the time of my sixtieth birthday in March of this year I had the idea to revisit some of these tracks that I have accumulated over the years, to add a few things here and there, but to still keep them minimal, and to release them as a series, prior to my 61st birthday, as a way for me to mark this personal milestone.

So after six months of listening and selection and with some, mostly minor, edits, tweaks and adjustments, I present to you volume 1.

I hope you enjoy where these moody little numbers take you.

Each release will feature a photo I´ve taken during my travels. This first one is from Hong Kong in 2009.
